Thanks sent-well for creating this killer pop art of me and my man!

The budding surfer in me is fighting with my fashion girl self not to covet these amaze Chanel surf boards. I doubt they will have them at surf camp, but a (fashion) girl can dream…
It’s a PoshMark Party
PoshMark is a fashion horse’s new best friend… er app. Gone are the days waiting in line at Buffalo exchange or whatever local clothing resale store equivalent only to receive $5 for your vintage DVF wrap dress OR $10 store credit. No thank you. See, I live in a world where clothing and beauty products are currency. You trade high end face cream you got at “some event” for that killer sweater sample your friend designed but never went into production. However, this currency is not accepted outside the fashion and beauty industry. I see countless girls wearing Chanel handbags and Louboutin heels crying “If only I could pay my rent with Alexander Wang bags.” Enter PoshMark. Now you actually can pay your rent with a designer bag, or shoes or all the unworn clothes and products jammed into your tiny New York closets. Bestie and I decided to do just that and set up a joint account using the alias Bev, except we would use our money pot to pay for our upcoming trip to surf camp in Costa Rica. In less than a week we made $1,300.
How did we do this? To be successful on PoshMark (which is an app only available to iPhones and iPads) you must first create a cool profile. Pick your name wisely. Try Fashion_Girl or something more interesting than jblc1123. Who would you rather buy from? Then, make sure your pic is good. A nice fashiony cartoon sketch is always safe. Google image “fashion cartoon” or “fashionista sketch.” Something eye catching will come up. After that, build your online closet. Start by cleaning out your real closets and take pictures of items you wish to sell. The app is very user friendly, similar to Instagram. When you’re all set up it is important to INTERACT IN PARTIES. This is how you get followers. Look at what parties are coming up and anticipate. If a “cute boots” party is happening the next day, clean out your boots so you can have them ready to post in the AM. Also, being super friendly, interacting with every user that interacts with you and using emoticons (even if you hate them) goes a long way. Like I said - $1300 in a week!
Best Sellers - designer sunglasses, designer handbags, general accessories.
Happy Poshmarking! XO, Bev ;-)
